21-23 October 2025 | Venetia Mendrinou (PhD Student) - presented her research proposal poster at the 2025 APS Global Psychological Science Summit — and it was later selected and published in the Observer's November issue, as one of the highlighted posters of the event! You can find the online Observer issue here.
10-12 October 2025 | We were excited to take part in the 3rd Panhellenic Neuropsychology Conference, held at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, organised by the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society!
Our team presented the symposium: “Language Cerebral Lateralization for Written and Spoken Language in Children of Typical and Atypical Development, and Adults”, chaired by Prof. Marietta Papadatou-Pastou.
9 October 2025 | Continuing our series of research talks, Prof Marietta Papadatou-Pastou spoke at the Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens (BRFAA), presenting “Using second-order meta-analysis to explore transdiagnostic perspectives in neurodevelopmental disorders: the case of handedness.”, as part of the BRFAA Seminars series.
September 2025 | At the 9th Scientific Meeting of the Federation of the European Societies of Neuropsychology (FESN) & 40th Annual Meeting of the German Neuropsychological Society (GNP) in Leipzig, our team lead, Prof. Marietta Papadatou-Pastou, co-chaired an engaging symposium on "Brain lateralization as a biomarker: Evidence from healthy individuals, atypical, and clinical populations", and presented her collaborative research project titled "Mental and neurodevelopmental disorders – A transdiagnostic mega-meta-analysis of hand preference". More about her presentation here.
July 2025 | Prof Marietta Papadatou-Pastou, presented her latest work at MetaScience 2025 at University College London!
Talk title: "Review and update of existing meta-analyses and pre-registered second-order meta-analysis: The case of handedness in mental and neurodevelopmental disorders". Using handedness as a case study to explore how existing meta-analytic data can be updated, reanalyzed, and synthesized into second-order meta-analyses — a powerful approach to strengthen evidence in neurodevelopmental research. This project is part of BROAD_AUTISM and is generously funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI).
